Meet Brad - CEO

Meet Brad​.

Brad Jacobs is our CEO and head honcho here at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation. Brad’s resume is filled with philanthropy and charity work and his experience in the fundraising world is like none other.

Brad’s passion for strengthening healthcare is only matched by his love for sports. Having worked for the Montreal Expos in the ’97 season, Brad learned a lot about discipline & teamwork and he brings that to fundraising.

Brad now enjoys golf and skiing to keep him busy outside of work. Brad has three boys, Thomas, Luke, and Logan who keep him on his toes and his wife Catherine works in the hospital as a nurse. Brad truly believes in building a strong community in healthcare and writes a monthly column in the Cape Breton Post​.

Although he’s known for his charity work, he’s also known as a true Shipyarder, having grown up playing ball in the heart of Sydney. Today, Brad enjoys a more suburban life in Sydney River, but he’ll always have his Brown Street. roots.

Brad is truly committed to strengthening healthcare in Cape Breton and his passion for his work makes him a great leader, not only in Cape Breton, but in the entire fundraising industry.
